HBO Officially Brings Back Its Most Divisive Fantasy Series This Week

HBO has been busy this year dropping some of the biggest projects in the studio's history, like The Pitt, the critically acclaimed medical drama led by Noah Wyle. The second season of The Pitt went off the air more than a month ago, but as new Nielsen viewership data continued to come in, it showed that the series was earning over 1 billion minutes viewed week after week, leading up to its Season 2 finale. HBO also brought fans back to Westeros with the release of A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, which takes place around 90 years before the events of Game of Thrones Season 1. The show has been picked up for Season 2, and HBO has already affirmed that it will be back before the end of 2027.
