Harry Potter Icon's Bonkers WWI Spy Thriller Surges on HBO Max

Spy movies are always a joy for genre fans. Something is exciting about our protagonist facing a mountain of difficulty and coming out on top. James Bond has survived over the decades by evolving for its audience with the Daniel Craig-led movies marking a significant change in how the iconic spy is perceived. Matt Damon's Bourne franchise gave fans a gritty, realistic spy that's more relatable than globe-trotting 007. Gary Oldman's Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy is one of the best in the genre, and keeps you guessing till the very last. Then there's Paul Feig's Spy, which turns the genre's tropes on their head and delivers laughs and thrills in equal measure, even featuring a standout comedic performance from Jason Statham.
