The first John Wick movie premiered all the way back in 2014, and while it's hard to imagine it now with the knowledge of all the success the franchise has had since, it was quite a gamble. Keanu Reeves' career was in a bit of a downslide after starring in the bomb 47 Ronin, and John Wick almost didn't get the funding it needed to make it across the finish line. Thanks to a last-second infusion of cash from Eva Longoria, John Wick ultimately made it to theaters, and the rest was history. Five movies and a TV show later, the franchise is still going strong with new releases on the horizon.
