The first two seasons took their time to find their footing and to develop the characters' voices in the process. By Seasons 3 and 4, The Next Generation had fully settled into a groove, and even delivered one of the series' best moments with the legendary two-parter "Best of Both Worlds." There's another Star Trek series that got off to a similar start, but it never had the same impact as The Next Generation.
