With back-to-back blockbusters The Odyssey and Spider-Man: Brand New Day, stars Zendaya and Tom Holland are having a tremendous 2026. This weekend alone, the two movies are powering the domestic box office to a record-breaking $400 million-plus haul combined. Spider-Man: Brand New Day shattered expectations to deliver approximately $350 million in its stateside debut, and nearly $1 billion worldwide. This is the second-biggest opening frame in history, behind Avengers: Endgame's $357 million domestic and $1.2 billion worldwide debut in 2019. Zendaya's 2026 is arguably more successful than Holland's; she also headlined the final season of HBO's Euphoria and the sleeper hit film The Drama. She will conclude the year with Dune: Part Three, which will likely emerge as a hit, too.
