Ridley Scott Is Officially a "Cinematic Hero" in New Sci-Fi Movie Sneak Peek

Around two decades ago, when Ridley Scott was making American Gangster, he introduced a key change to his directing style: Scott began working with multiple cameras at the same time. American Gangster was shot on film by the late cinematographer Harris Savides, who, Scott admitted in an interview, was growing frustrated with the process. Since the emergence of digital cameras, Scott has doubled down on this technique, leaving other collaborators divided. Josh Brolin, who worked with Scott on American Gangster, reunited with the director on the upcoming sci-fi movie The Dog Stars. In a recent interview with Empire, Brolin said that Scott's style nearly made him quit the movie on day one.
