You'll sometimes hear rumblings that they're going away, or waning in popularity, but then bam, something like Spider-Man: Brand New Day comes out and becomes one of the highest-grossing movies ever in a matter of weeks. Like, seriously, look at how much money that thing has made... it casts doubt on the whole "superhero fatigue" thing.
