'Stargate' Officially Proves Amazon Made a Huge Mistake by Cancelling Reboot Series




Stargatefans experienced the thrill of victory and the agony of defeat in short order over the past 12 months. Last December, a reboot of the long-dormant science fiction franchise was announced to be in development at Prime Video, with several key staff members from the series' earlier incarnations on board. Then, earlier this year, that reboot was cancelled, after allegedly being too heavily targeted at Stargate's existing fanbase. Now, the streaming success of the franchise is calling the logic of that decision into question.
