2025 wasn't the easiest for the MCU, as the post-Endgame theatrical struggles continued. Sure, a hugely disappointing Captain America: Brave New World arguably deserved its poor box office run, but most Marvel fans were more than pleased with the year's other two offerings. Alas, Thunderbolts*and The Fantastic Four: First Stepswere similarly unsuccessful financially, although the latter at least returned over $500 million against a $200 million budget, albeit with many previously expecting it to close in on the billion-dollar mark.
