Stephen King Loves This 2-Part Netflix Sci-Fi Horror Spin-Off You Probably Missed

When The Walking Dead came out on AMC in 2010, it changed horror. Based on Robert Kirkman's comics, the series got bigger by the year with its showcase of fascinating characters combined with zombie mayhem. However, at a certain point, fans began to tune out in droves as the horror faded in favor of a meandering drama. Coming out near the end of the undead fad was a series that gave fans what they wanted. Netflix's Black Summer, a spin-off of Z-Nation, was all about the horror and refused to slow down. It didn't reach the heights of The Walking Dead, but its small audience loved it. Among Black Summer's biggest fans was none other than Stephen King.
