The new sci-fi thriller starring Alan Ritchson has successfully become the most-watched Netflix movie of 2026, earning enough views to crack the streamer's all-time top 10, taking the spot from The Gray Man (starring Ryan Gosling). Netflix also rolled out its big sci-fi show of 2026 after wrapping up Stranger Things in The Boroughs, which was even produced by Matt and Ross Duffer (creators of Stranger Things). However, the sci-fi show was canceled while it was still in the global streaming top 10, as it wasn't earning the viewership it needed to warrant another season.
