'X-Men '97' Makes Marvel History Once Again With New Season 2 Episode

It's been a big weekend for Marvel fans, who were treated to the first official concept art from this year's big blockbuster, Avengers: Doomsday, which included first-looks at most of the heroes confirmed to appear in the film. This has drawn varying levels of excitement from fans, some of whom were hoping to see newer characters featured at the front of the next Avengers film, not the same trio that has already had the chance to lead four tentpole movies. Doomsday is also bringing back several members of the Fox X-Men team, including James Marsden as Cyclops, Patrick Stewart as Professor X, and Ian McKellen as Magneto. This has been especially controversial among fans, especially after this band of mutants has received multiple "send-offs" in movies such as Days of Future Past, Logan, and even Deadpool & Wolverine.
