'Firefly's Long-Awaited Return Officially Hits a Major Roadblock




While perhaps not as recognizable as some stars from his same era, Nathan Fillion has quietly assembled an impressive career full of beloved roles in the last 20–25 years. The first from recent memory is John Nolan, who he's played on the ABC series The Rookie for nearly 10 years. Fillion first starred as the detective all the way back in 2018, and with a new season of The Rookie on the way later this year, the show doesn't look poised to go anywhere anytime soon. Fillion is also known for starring in the first and third Guardians of the Galaxy movies under James Gunn, but that's far from the only time he's worked with the comic book director. He's also taken on the role of Guy Gardner's Green Lantern in Gunn's new DCU.
