'Game of Thrones' Gets Official New Release Dropping in Less Than 48 Hours




2026 has been a benchmark year for Game of Thrones fans, who have been treated to not one, but two separate live-action shows from the franchise. The third season of House of the Dragon is finally set to wrap up this weekend, and after Season 2 was met with divisive reception from fans, Season 3 has course-corrected and begun to win people back. The fourth and final season of the show is expected to film in 2027 and air in 2028. Before House of the Dragon doused fans in fire and blood, though, there was A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms showing a much softer side of the Game of Thrones universe. The six-episode show was set over only a few days at a jousting tournament, following a young hedge knight and his squire — a far cry from what Game of Thrones fans had become accustomed to. It's also George R.R. Martin's favorite Game of Thrones show.
