Before His 'Star Wars' Crossover, Kevin Smith Officially Unites Two Classic Marvel Heroes

Kevin Smith has most prominently made his mark on pop culture as a filmmaker, establishing the View Askewniverse with the classic Clerks and expanding to more ambitious, weird, and comedic places from Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back to Chasing Amy and Tusk. However, as an avid comic fan, his work has also extended to the page. He's not only used the medium for more View Askewniverse stories, but has also created some memorable storylines for Marvel and DC characters like Daredevil, Green Arrow, and even Batman. With the announcement earlier this month that the superheroes of Earth-616 would collide with the characters from a galaxy far, far away for the first time in the crossover event Star Wars/Marvel: Hope Assembles, it's no surprise then that the multihyphenate icon was tapped to pen the historic five-part limited series.
