2026 hasn't exactly been a banner year for the king of action movies, Jason Statham, so far. Despite his first feature film of the year coming out of the gates strong with some of the best reviews of his films in the last decade, the movie bombed at the box office under the weight of its bloated $50 million budget. Shelter has gone on to become a streaming hit on Starz and other platforms, helping to redeem its box office failure. Statham is also back in action with another box office bomb, as of the last few weeks, courtesy of Mutiny, which failed to even crack the top five at the box office during its second weekend in theaters. Things are looking grim for Statham right now, but there's always a chance to turn things around.
