Star Trek Boss Officially Dishes on the Sci-Fi Franchise's Worst Early Cancellation




Although it has been more than three decades since the greatest Star Trek series came to an end, it now appears the show may have left the air too soon. Created by Gene Roddenberry, Star Trek: The Next Generation was the franchise's second live-action series and drew heavily from The Original Series. The space epic premiered on September 28, 1987, and concluded its planned seven-season run on May 23, 1994. Following the series finale, Paramount transitioned the cast and crew to the big screen, beginning with Star Trek Generations later that year.
