We're only just past the halfway point in 2026, but Star Wars fans have already had two projects to enjoy. The first Star Wars Disney Plus show of the year, Maul — Shadow Lord, won the hearts of fans and critics around the world, largely due to the commanding but endearing performance of Sam Witwer as the Dark Side Force user. Disney has already renewed the show for Season 2, and it's still hanging around in the top 10 in a few countries around the world. The first Star Wars movie in seven years didn't find the same level of success as its Disney Plus predecessor — The Mandalorian and Grogu is expected to finish its run as the lowest-grossing Star Wars movie in history. There are more projects coming this year that have a chance to right the ship, though.
