The show pulled Matt and Ross Duffer out of relative irrelevance and made them some of the most sought-after creators today. Paramount has successfully courted them with the promise of a theatrical release for their movies, something they can't get on Netflix. But the duo still had a deal to honor with the world's biggest streamer, even though it expired last month.
