Ridley Scott's 10/10 Apple TV Miniseries Is Reborn as the Perfect Weekend Binge




For the first time since the release of Alien: Covenant, fans will return to theaters this year to watch a new Ridley Scott-directed sci-fi movie. Scott's next film comes in the form of The Dog Stars, the new dystopian thriller starring Jacob Elordi opposite Josh Brolin. The film was previously lined up to premiere in March, but it was delayed until the end of August to give the post-production team a little more time to make sure it's up to par with what fans have come to expect from a Ridley Scott film. Scott didn't direct any new movies in 2025, but 2024 saw him return to one of the most famous movie worlds of his career with the release of Gladiator II, the legacy sequel to Russell Crowe's Gladiator. Both the 2000 Gladiator movie and its 2024 sequel are streaming on Paramount Plus.
