Jason Statham's Highest-Rated Movie in 10 Years Quietly Drops on Streaming




Jason Statham has been busy the last few years producing some of the most underrated action thrillers of his career, and although he's now more than 50 years old, he isn't showing any signs of slowing down. Back at the start of 2024, Statham headlined The Beekeeper, which came from director David Ayer. The film was a smash hit by every metric, winning over critics and audiences on the aggregate site Rotten Tomatoes on its way to quadrupling its $40 million budget with a $160 million box office performance. Amazon decided to move forward with a sequel to The Beekeeper, and while it was previously thought that the film would be released before the end of 2026, it has since been dated for release on January 15, 2027. Amazon debuted the first footage of the film earlier this year at CinemaCon, showing Statham's Adam Clay leaning more into the nature side of the film.
