'The Mandalorian and Grogu' Officially Evades a Brutal Marvel Box Office Record




The Mandalorian and Grogu isn't exactly going to be the gold standard when Disney talks about the global appeal of Star Wars. While the film is a perfectly good time at the movies, and Grogu will never be anything less than the most wonderful little guy, it's fair to say that, after years of building Star Wars back up on Disney+, the franchise's big return to theaters has been met with a similar reaction to Jar-Jar Binks gatecrashing a Gungan governmental meeting. But while the film has been something of a box office disappointment, it has managed to avoid a brutal record.
