Disclosure Day earned a so-so B CinemaScore grade from opening day audiences, which spelled trouble for its theatrical run. Typically, movies that receive mediocre grades on CinemaScore perform poorly in the long run; it doesn't matter if Spielberg is at the helm. The goodwill that the legendary filmmaker has earned over six decades was, however, enough for Disclosure Day to exceed expectations in its first weekend.
