2026 has been a banner year for Jon Bernthal, who has starred in both of the biggest box office hits of the year, The Odyssey and Spider-Man: Brand New Day. Bernthal plays Menelaus in Christopher Nolan's breathtaking historical epic, marking the first time that he's ever worked with the Oscar-winning director — after his strong performance in the film, it would be surprising if he wasn't seen in one of his movies in the future. Bernthal also features alongside Tom Holland in the fourth MCU solo Spider-Man movie, teaming up with Peter Parker as Frank Castle to take on The Hulk (played by Mark Ruffalo) and Jean Grey (played by Sadie Sink). Bernthal previously made his MCU debut as The Punisher last year in the second season of Daredevil: Born Again, starring Charlie Cox.
