When you have a massively successful and beloved book series and then it's adapted for television, you know there will need to be some changes and sacrifices made in order to make it a better show. Silo has taken some liberties, that's true, because while it began relatively close to the original novels, Season 3 has taken considerably bigger swings as it tackles material from Shift, the second book in the trilogy. Now, though, the creator of the stories is defending them.
