She last dipped her toes in the genre back in 2014, with the action-packed Hercules movie headlined by Dwayne Johnson. Since then, Ferguson has made a name for herself as a sci-fi specialist of sorts, thanks to a prominent role in Denis Villeneuve's critically acclaimed Dune trilogy and a lead role in Apple TV's cult hit series Silo. With Silo currently airing its impeccably received fourth season and Dune: Part Three lined up for release in December, Ferguson deviated from the norm with a fantasy movie aimed at children. The movie in question has already had a successful run in the United Kingdom, but it got off to a shaky start domestically this past week.
