The list included three actors named Jack — Jack Lowden, Jack O'Connell, and Jack Barton — and two other favorites, Callum Turner and Jacob Elordi. It was previously reported that Amazon MGM Studios was looking at actors in their early 30s for the role, hoping that they would continue playing the character for several years. Daniel Craig's tenure as Agent 007, for instance, lasted 15 years. If the gap between Bond eras not been so long, more actors would have been in contention, including two prominent favorites who starred together in a thriller film only last year. The movie in question witnessed a spike on two streaming platforms simultaneously this week.
