2026 has been a banner year for Matt Damon so far, but one of the most underrated projects of his career that's nearly 30 years old has officially scored a new streaming home. While the first of Damon's 2026 projects that comes to mind for nearly everyone is The Odyssey, and rightfully so, his year in 2026 began much earlier than his Christopher Nolan reunion. Back in January, Damon reunited with his long-time friend and collaborator Ben Affleck for the hit crime thriller, The Rip, which is still one of the most-watched Netflix movies of the year. Damon's return to prestige filmmaking in The Odyssey is almost certainly going to earn him another Oscar nomination for his performance as Odysseus, and many experts are even predicting that he has a good chance at winning the award.
