Before 'Avengers: Doomsday,' Marvel's $2B Sci-Fi Epic Is Officially Soaring Again




Marvel recently released one of the most successful movies in franchise history with Spider-Man: Brand New Day, but another film near the top of that same list is finding renewed success on streaming. Spider-Man: Brand New Day, which stars Tom Holland as Peter Parker and Jon Bernthal as Frank Castle, has grossed well over $2 billion at the global box office. Holland and Bernthal also had key roles in Christopher Nolan's new highest-grossing movie, The Odyssey, which has helped both of their career box office totals exceed $4 billion this year. Marvel Studios started the year strong with the new TV release of Wonder Man, but the show was canceled after only one season after initially being renewed. Marvel's Blade movie starring Mahershala Ali was also canceled around the same time.
